Exempt from North Carolina Inspections?

Post by 77caprice on April 13th 2012, 1:27 am

Well today i got a quote on a true dual exhaust for my caprice and the shop told me i am exempt from any further yearly inspections due to my car turning 35 years old this year so i wouldnt have to worry about installing cats, originally my car came with them and in the past it wouldnt pass unless a cat was visually present . So what im asking, has anyone from NC here been through this, am i truly exempt and what do i have to do on my inspection come this June?

If it's 35 years or older it's exempt from all state inspections
