My 1949 Hudson,the next project

Post by chopperchuck on July 10th 2012, 11:58 pm

some asked for some shots of my 49 Hudson, the story behind it---it sat in my Grandpa shed since the mid 50's when my grandmother passed,it's pretty straight all surface rust NO real rust, planning on a mild 50's hot rod flavor.
so here's a couple shots.

when it got home from South Dakota & one that Marv Photo-chopped for me.

Thanks. I love it. Please make it shiny tho, no flat black or satin paint. 50s stuff all shined. Its true they lost a lot of chrome and stuff but they had shiny paint and "well placed " chrome highlights. If you saw one in primer (flat paint) it was because they were saving up money for for a fancy paint job.

Both cars are sweet.....I'm actually a fan of the Pinto. If you lived closer I would buy that from you.

Petroleum Induced Napalm Themed Occurrence? Twisted Evil Twisted Evil Twisted Evil

Seriously, nice Pinto. You know what I would do... (Put on some subframe connectors and drop in a Windsor V8 - I wonder if anyone has put a Modular 4.6 in a Pinto yet...)
I see more Pintos out there than I do Vegas.

Those rims on his Pinto are what I put on my 63. Had a buddy of mine take them to work and redrill the bolt pattern. Cool 13" rims are hard to find..... nutkick
