Spraying Rusto and re-coat times

Post by Keegan on July 13th 2012, 11:13 pm

I'm spraying Rusto with Valspar hardener added and thinned with acetone. Do I have to wait 24 hours before recoating, like it says on the can? What is the recoat window with this type of mixture?

Thanks

You spray all your coat's at once, with the hardner the paint will tack up pretty quick with higher temp's, Wait about 15 minute's between each coat,if you are going to cut and buff I would wait about three week's or so before the cut and buff,Hope this shed's some light on this for ya!!! thumbs up

What cac1967 said. Wait time between coats can vary depending on temp. Wait until the paint is tacky. test by touching fresh paint on your masking.
You can add more paint anytime during the "window" listed on the can. After that time listed you need to sand first.
