Paint question

Post by nezzi21 on September 10th 2012, 6:16 pm

Hi, considering rolling my car but wondered if it is possible to use 2K paint? Can get this from my work and really want to keep it the original colour.

If you are going to use 2k urethane enamel I would spray it , I guess you could roll it but I think the end result would not be satisfactory, it would dry to fast with the activator and rolling would be a disaster, and you would have a ton of sanding to do!! just my 2 cents

cac1967 is right about this. Yes, it sets up to fast to roll out roller marks and as far as I know that kind of paint needs a clear coat on top of it for UV protection (that's if you are talking about base coat/clear coat).
The reason I know this is because I have tried it with metalflake in clear. It did NOT work. Crying or Very sad
