Spraying on Tremclad
I have a compressor at home, with a "ok" spraygun - nothing special, came free with the compressor. I was once thinking of spraying my MG myself, but the cost of the paint made it not really worthwhile, hence my interest in this website. However, has anyone ever tried spraying on tremclad paint. If so, were the results as good as the rolled on work? Also, what mixes were used?
Hopefully I will begin painting the car in March/April before the temperature here gets too warm. Should be around 10-15 deg C then. Is this good?

Re: Spraying on Tremclad
I havent sprayed tremclad but im spraying brightside. I am using 3 parts paint to 1 part thinner and spraying it with a hvlp gun. If your compressor will run it the hvlp gun works well, it needs 6 cfm @ 40 psi. The results should be as good or better than rolling. The gun will put it down more evenly. Start out with a test pannel to get a feel for how it sprays and to dial in the mix. You probably will want just enough thinner so that it will spray through your gun evenly.

Re: Spraying on Tremclad
I've heard of people spraying the tremclad and the rustoleum. I'm not certain on the mixtures but they say it lays and levels really well. I would have sprayed my truck but I didn't have anywhere to do it so that's why I had to break out the rollers
