but then I found this and since it was sitting around for a while, we found a good way to get it out of the way!!Very Happy

showoff. BTW, me and my old 84 Prospector had a good day yesterday..went to NAPA to pick up some plugs for my daughter's car (she's in town, and I get to tune her car up because her hubby is a bit of a numb nuts on car maintenance, but still a nice guy).

When I was going in, several of the older guys in NAPA came up to me and told me .."Nice RAM!, I haven't seen a Prospector in a long time." Kinda made my day.

Yeah, I haven't seen too many prospectors in my area either. However, I see a Miser every morning (in my driveway).

I'm working on several projects at once. I'm building a camper from the ground up, modifying a D-100 Miser, and painting Old Stinky. So watching other projects gives me motivation.

Have some TieCoat from POR15 primmer from another project, let's see if it will be enough.
You can tell that it was sitting for a while

Not sure it it will be enough to cover the whole truck since I will like to to a very thick coat.
So I called POR15 and they recommended Lacquer Thinner to dilute it for spraying it, between 5% to 10%. That works for me!
So let's mix and spray!

Well spraying the primmer was so fast that I have to find something else to do...so let's play with the bed.

ok, so will let it sit overnight and tomorrow some sanding on the primmer and hope to do the first coat.
Guys I, need to speed up, has to get back to work on monday and truck has to be ready.
Can I just double up the Japan drier??
BTW got the hardener on the mail today...excited about that, but probably for the last 4 to 6 coats.
VERY concern about the drying and curing time before wetsanding... scratch

Going to start sanding the primmer and start the paint today.
Any idea about increasing the dosage of the Japan Dryer to speed this up without compromising the paint finish?
