Hmmm, you could always paint the center section a different color like black? From the upper bodyline to the lower bodyline. I've never seen that style truck in yellow. Like this, paint the dark blue color yellow and the light blue color black:

Yeah I see a lot of paint jobs like that. I'm more into one solid color and some type of racing stripe. But a paint job in Yellow and Black would look good and be different like in the picture you just posted.

Well I was going to start on body work today since it was so nice.I started at the right side of the bed. Turns out if I had used my hammer any harder I would have knocked out the bondo and rust.So I have decided to wait until I move out west and find a rust free bed for my truck. You can see this is a small amount that I found. Looks like the rust free south isn't so rust free.I just my engine in the machine shop as soon as I get it back I'll detail and paint the engine compartment in the color I picked out which is Safety Yellow.I'm going with one single color.I'm also a member at autobody101.com they have a section there on fiberglass and plastic repair one member made his own cover out of fiberglass for his S-10. Here are some pictures.

Sorry to see that man. It really puts a damper on things. Luckily that's a pretty popular bodystyle truck. I hope you find a bed for it soon. When you say a guy made his own cover out of fiberglass, do you mean bed cover? I was thinking of making one for my ranger.

Yeah I found it on autobody101.com looked really nice and I posted asking how to make a mold for it and a member there gave me a link and my wife called for a free dvd book. They asked if I was going to buy their products and she said yes and they are sending it.

That will look good. Just make sure your paint is cured before you tape the stripes off. I don't know that it would happen but I wouldn't want to see you pull off any of your paint.

Sounds good. I've used the hammer paint several times. Makes whatever you paint look bulletproof. It's a cool paint. Should look good on your wheels.

Well I got some painting done today.I got 2 wheels done today,I didn't remove the tires they will be replaced in a couple of weeks. Also got the valve covers painted with engine paint by Duplicolor.I used cheap spray paint on some parts since they will see grease and oil. Let me know what y'all think.

My next project will be dash, door panels, and a couple of interior parts using Krylon Paint for plastics.

You might want to rethink that move. They may not have any water left:
