Grizzly LVLP spray gun

Post by kdiddy on August 17th 2014, 12:37 am

Hi,

I ended up being a blasphemer and using base coat/clear coat on my truck . The decision was made because I was staying with gray and without the metallics gray just looks like primer.

Anyway I just tried out this LVLP gun from grizzly.

Thus far seems to work OK and my be just the ticket for those of us with "marginal" compressors.

Just did a test panel and still had "some" orange peel. But started looking at the other cars while getting gas later and realized I am probably at least as good as some factory paint.

OK used it again today and it leaked from the cap. Fortunately I wasn't doing any horizontal work or it would have made a mess. Next time I will have to try Teflon taping the threads I guess.

Update! After cleaning the leak seems to be gone..... maybe some urethane gunk got under the seal when I reset the cap? IDK. I'll give more feedback when I do the tailgate.
