Best way ????

Post by Roadking41a on January 24th 2008, 9:40 pm

What would be the best way to repair this hole? I have been thinking about using JB Weld Quick as a temp fix until I can get the sheet metal to fix it right. I have used JB weld quick With small pin holes in the floor of my truck with good success.I don't want to use a lot of bondo since it will crack and fall out. Here is the picture.

sand it down, use a fiberglass patch and blend it with the surrounding area if you want to make it look good.if its just temp, dont worry with the looks.
If you can get to the back of it,put a patch there as well.
that will seal it off from the air.

best way? pick up a jc whitney or ford truck parts catalog, buy a patch panel, cut that out and weld new one in.

quick and easy? steel wool, beer cans, or aluminum foil and some long strand kitty hair filler
