I did a recoat in 8 hours on my truck. Keep in mind it was during the fall at 75 or so degrees when I did it. I painted the first coat then waited 8 hours and painted the second coat. I then waited a full 24 hours before wetsanding and applying the next coat and so on and so on. It should say on the back of the can the optimal cure times per temperature.

I did one coat a day, the shortest amount of time was about 12 hours between coats but usually about 18 hours. Weather and humidity affect the dry time, as does adding mineral spirits. My first coat took 24 hours before I could recoat, I thought I screwed up and would be painting every other day, but the rest of the coats were fine to recover after about 12 hours. I painted in the cold garage with a tiny space heater, about 50 degrees indoor, 30 outside.

Well the good thing about the lengthy cure times is that you don't get burn out on the project Wink
