new here from the midwest!

Post by 98ls1ttop on January 31st 2008, 3:52 pm

i recently started learnin how to do body work, and using a gravity fed gun to paint my own rides. i dont have my garage built yet so i havent been able to do anything. after reading about this "rolled on" application on another site, i decided to research it a little more. then i found this site. it has helped me a lot and answered *just about every question i had about it. i absolutely love the DIY methods and especially when they are cheap like this. i have seen people roll old school cars before but they did not look all that great. after seeing the true process and the results i have decided to paint 3 of my cars.
cars that i will be painting:
1994 civic......swervin the 1.5 ltr. 42MPG FTMFW!
1990 eclipse gst turbo
1992 eclipse gsx awd turbo

i am out to do something neat with the two dsm cars. paint them both the same exact color scheme, same wheels, same tint. i am gonna DD the fwd gst car, and make the gsx the weekend warrior. both will look stock, and the fwd car will run like stock. but they wont know what hit them when they see tail lights of the gsx!! i'll roll and laugh at them, go hide my gsx and jump in the fwd car and putt putt around Cool . but anyways enough speeching, this process is exactly what i was looking for. thanks to the admin for doing this! im sure it helps a lot of people!

Welcome.
I wanted to paint all of our storms exactly the same, we have 3 (5 if you count the parts car and race car) but my kids shot down that idea. I think they were worried my driving would cause them problems with the police. Smile
