HI

Post by Oneabsolute on February 9th 2008, 12:30 am

Hello,
I've been researching on this process for a while now and glad to find a group of people who have/or going to do the rolled on job as well. I'm planning on doing to my '72 VW Westy and my '86 VW Scirocco.

I'm planning on doing the Westy in Caterpillar Yellow from the farm section of Rustoleum since that seems to be the closest color to its original color Sierra Yellow.

I'm still not sure what color I want to do the Rocco in; I was planning on Sunburst Yellow but Gloss Sail Blue has been realy growing on me. It'll be a little still on the Rocco cause I just buffed it yesterday and it shined up pretty well.

Welcome!
Curious to see how the farm paint works. Pros/cons, any difference from other brand etc.

Its the same Stop Rust forumla, just that it is all farming equipment brands colors like Caterpillar Yellow, John Deere Green & Yellow, Ford Blue, etc. So it should preform just like the Stop Rust as many of you have used.

Hey welcome to the site. We are building up quite a collection of VW's. Good luck with your project. Let us know how it goes.
