wow. i have seen the s2000 motor, the k22 is it, in a mazda truck. was insanely fast.

i found a motor/trans plate for my escort to put a rotory in it. Twisted Evil 13bt baby. rock super sleeper

Sounds like fun to me. I have been thinking about getting a upper,lower intake and some GT 40 Heads for my F150 then supercharge it.

oh and it ran 10s at the track...pretty f'n fast for a honda lol

mods:

1 light CRX shell, a JDM Cyclone 4g63t motor, a cheapy air filter, and some slicks

FYI: i own a DSM so this is just for u that dont know much about the JDM Cyclone JDM motor...the motor came from the EVO IIIs, it has a few better parts that the USDM eclipses, talons, and lasers where jipped on

better parts:

Butterfly Valve TB = better throttle response

Big 16g turbo = more power potential, the USDM 4g63t got 2 differant turbos, 90-94 got the 14b, and 95-99 got the POS excuse for a turbo t25

Bigger o2 housing = the most over looked part of a turbo system, the o2 housing on the evo III motor is massave, helping boost creep

Bigger Turbo Manifold = the runners in this manifold are huge, im acually looking for one lol

thats a mitsu-motor you swapped in there? pretty cool

even tho im not really into those kinda cars i always kinda liked the CRX's for some reason

no i really dont, i have a 95 talon tsi, i just swapped out the t25 for a evoIII 16g.

but i will look around for one...they have tons of 1gs at the junk yard

the turbo is the curved one, i blew the hell out of it before i swapped it out Twisted Evil

for a escort i would look for something like a 14b or a small 16g, the t25 absolutly sucks, the turbo loses all power at 4k rpm its good for a quick boost of power but nothing more, if u want ur power range even go with a 14b or small 16g, also the 14b flows 75 CFMs more than the t-25, might not sound like alot but its acually a huge differance

touche. my buddy has a t-66. its a monster. its like as big as my motor. i didnt realize they maxxed at 4k. my redline is now 7k so thats no good.

What goals/HP/TQ are u trying to obtain?

i would suggest the evo3 16g, i have one and its a GREAT turbo for the price, and it will even give u more room to revv (if u put some cams, retainers, and springs) the turbo has great power up to 9k...theres a guy at the local track running a 10.54 on this turbo...he runs e85 and 1500cc injectors...e85 is the new race fuel!! Twisted Evil

the small 16g is really only good until 7k then it starts to lose power...but it would work great if u do not plan to up the revv

then theres the big 16g i really know nothing about this turbo never touched it...but it would fall in between them i would assume

the 14b is a very good stock turbo but for the price comparason i would just get a evo3 16g , the evo 16g is the best bang for ur buck

how much power do u have right now? what are ur power goals?

Hey not much into imports, but love turbochargers. I have an 88 ranger with a ford 2.3 turbo motor in it. All stock engine, ported intake, T3 turbo pushing 20psi, front mount intercooler off of a toyota supra.

them 2.3s can take a beating. appearently so can the 1.9s. theres several people makin almost 315 on stock block and head

i know. lame numbers. but i dont wanna be constantly tinkerin with my dd. this way i can get by with just an fmu tune. no piggy backs or anything. just a 12-1 fmu. and thats about double the factory power.

lololol you just dont know. there are guys pushing upwards of 20 psi on a stock internals and head.right now there is a guy with a 1.9 hittin 312 hp/ 367 tq at the wheels on all stock motor. he does have bigger injectors and a m.s. but everything else is factory
