1994 Honda Civic

Post by chiapet on December 11th 2007, 5:25 pm

Alright lets get this site rollin (no pun intended). This is my 1994 Honda civic, originally bought rattle can black and thought this would be the perfect project. I opted for the rustoleum topside paint rather than regular. It said right on the can "excellent leveling" "UV protection" so I though it would be better.

Here are the supplies. It did cost more than 50 dollars though mainly because I had to buy bondo and **** also but it was only like 14 bucks a quart.

Looks very nice.

That Rustoleum Topside Paint was what I attempted to buy before I went with the Blue Water Marine Polyurethane on my Jeep (I went with Blue Water Marine because the more widely-used boat poly, Interlux, didn't appear to come in a Gloss Black). Anyway, I order 3 quarts of the Rustoleum Topside from a retailer dealing through Amazon.com. But the retailer sees my shipping address is in California and emails me back telling me that the Rustoleum Topside can't be sold there and he won't be able to ship it to me. The order is cancelled.

Instead, I end up ordering the Blue Water Marine Poly -- a paint probably not exactly "square" with the California Code either -- through a marine shop HQ'd in New Jersey. That was shipped to me no problem. Gotta love Jersey Laughing
