Duplicolor

Post by Roadking41a on June 5th 2008, 12:51 am

I have been looking at the Duplicolor paint system today. Everything is premixed and only needs to be sprayed. Would this paint system fit in the forums here? It is set up for the diy'er and a cheap forum of painting your car or truck.

Ehhh I'm not sure. It would work fine for the spraying DIYer but I doubt you would be able to roll it on unless it's already the right consistency for your application which is doubtful.

If its set up to spray then it is probably mixed 3-4 paint to 1 reducer. The problem as I see it is the reducer is probably NOT mineral spirits. You would have to read the can and see what they used. Since most here use a 1 to 1 mix ratio it could be thinned some more and should work.
Also flow out (tack) time could be shorter also. Might want to get a small can and try it if you are really interested and let us know what happened.
