I'm working on a 67 Camaro that needs a lot of work. 41 year old car had a ruff life. The door hinges need rebuilding so they are coming off (I can move the back of the door up and down over an inch.) The car needs a lot of work so I'm just tackling one thing at a time. I am using Pettit Easypoxy in Sunflower Yellow. The chrome is really pitted so I'm painting the bumpers yellow and the trim satin black. Budget won't allow new chrome but I think black will look ok. I'll let the next owner spend the big bucks on it, I just want to enjoy it cheaply. I am considering a small detail spray gun from Harbor Freight for the jambs and hard to reach areas.

Sounds like a good plan (and a cool project). Make sure you take lots of pictures along the way!

A little update from me. A few days ago I was driving along the highway and a large piece of debris or rock flew up from a truck I was behind and hit the roof of the car. It was big enough, and hit hard enough, to leave a softball-sized dent in the roof(!), so I was really lucky it didn't hit the windshield.
The silver lining is the paint wasn't damaged! No chipping or anything. So far, it looks like this will be very durable paint.

You know, I'm having some troubles with paint not fusing with primer.

Have You got some of this trouble on your work too?

Cheers
