What Type Of Primer For Roll On

Post by T-Bucket Bob 23 on April 21st 2009, 6:38 pm

What type of primer, it being rattle can, roll on, or sprayed on is good with rustoleum? What type would be good for both metal and fiberglass?

Thanks, T-Bucket Bob

I've used the cheap wal mart $0.98 a can stuff with no adhesion problems. Make sure your substrate is CLEAN before you start. Paint's been on there 2 years now.

T-Bucket Bob,
I have been using primer made by Plasticoat. The primer filler seems to work well. It comes in grey, red oxide and black. Dries fast, sands great and fills in small scratches. Coconut eater is correct, CLEAN CLEAN CLEAN is the key.
Great bucket by the way, they are a blast to drive.
