I'll post some engine pics.. but first I have to fix the exhaust - a pothole ripped it off today. Truck in front of me hit it and a big chunk flew up into the middle of the road. My choice was oilpan or suspension - guess which I picked. It missed the subframe, but caught the flange on the back of the cat.

I'm fixing it tomorrow, but I think I'll wait a bit longer to drive it..

I was going to start detailing it, but I guess that can wait.. That will teach me to wash it!! But its shiny now at least! Next time it moves from the garage it will be ready.. vroom!!

header fixed.. sounds much better . Its funny.. you take off 5 feet of pipe and it sounds so much different - even though its a straight pipe with no muffler.

Now I need naaaawz and some dragon stickers to make it even faster!!! lmao

my car was going to be a RWD V8 conversion since I can't find any Vega's anymore - then the fast and the furious came out. I raced midgets with over 300hp from n/a 4 bangers - thought 'why not'?

First thing I did was learn how to flash the EEPROM - lots of that work was posted here

We ended up developing commercial software to custom tune your car through the OBDII port, and I lost interest.

But once I had control of my ECM, I could do any mods I wanted and be able to adjust for them. I'm running what I call my 'winter tune' - goes like a raped ape on 60 degree and colder days, but the warmer it gets, the more KE's I get and lose timing. I have the timing pretty aggressive. If I really did add NOS to it, I'd have to use the stock chip and tune with the wet jets (I don't like dry systems)
