Supermarine Paint

Post by mapexgurl on July 27th 2009, 11:09 am

I'm soon going to try a roller job on a 1972 Charger. The car is purple now and I would like to do purple again.

That is the only marine paint I could find that offered a purple (as well as many other colors.) Would this paint work?

These are all the Topsides they offer. I would like a single stage. Which would would be the best one?

Also, I've been sanding the car down. Do I need to sand past the clear coat?

I hope the final result will be purple with black strips and the og vinyl top back on.

only if the clear is failing..

never used that paint so I'll refrain from trying to answer that - but I will say it will take quite a bit of paint for that critter - thats a big car!! I painted a couple of those before (spray) and both times ran out of paint. No fun on one since it was candy apple red and that paint is EXPENSIVE!
