White Rusto primer.

Post by Techmaven on September 15th 2009, 6:14 pm

Has anyone used white Rustoleum primer? Rolled or sprayed? Thinned with? And can it be sanded before topcoating?

Yes- I used Rustoleum Bare Metal Primer, rolled on, about 30% thinned with mineral spiritz, but should have thinned more to get smoother coverage. I cannot stress enough to make the coats THIN THIN THIN. I wet sanded it with 400 grit and used 2 coats then went with rustoleum white paint rolled on of course...

God Luck!
