paint stripper on stainless

Post by 63Falconconvert on January 6th 2010, 4:18 pm

The side trim on my Falcon is stainless and the center of it is painted red. It looks like a 3rd grader painted it with a brush. Does anyone know if aircraft stripper is safe to use on stainless. I want to remove the old paint and repaint it.
Thanks

I know this is late but I just found out you guys were back up. cheers
About the paint on your chrome, I would try laquer thinner first or maybe #0000steel wool. I know it will take paint off glass with no scratches. I don't think there isn't much that harm stainless tho but better safe than sorry.
