Anyone used Duplicolor Effex?

Post by Hype on January 13th 2010, 12:43 am

Currently painting my 240SX hatchback, my 3rd brightside effort to date. If I end up painting my convertible, I'm thinking about doing it in Brightside white, sanding down the final coat and applying Effex to create a pearl white effect like you see on luxury SUVs these days.

Ironically, my hatchback WAS pearl white from the factory, stupid previous owner ruined that paint through neglect, argh. smash

I haven't used this paint but I do know pearl particles can NOT be sanded.
You will have to put a couple of coats of some kind of clear paint over the pearl so you can sand and buff. If you do this, please, please post pictures.
