rustoleum hammered finish.
Okay well here's the deal. I'm painting my bike this spring and have all the paint supplies for it ready. i have guns and the works. I'm gonna be painting the bike with Hok tangerine kandy basecoat. I currently also have the engine out and most the bike stripped down to the frame, which is currently half polished, by the previous owner and i want to paint it. I was wondering if the rustoleum hammered finish paint by the quart was sprayable, and if so what would be a good ratio to mix it at? if anyone out there has used it id appreciate any help. here's a link to the paint. http://www.rustoleum.com/CBGProduct.asp?pid=159 I think the black or gray hammered would make a great contrast to the orange kandy paint! Also he's pics of my bike as it was last spring.(rattle can flat black)

I would surely think it can be sprayed. Do you have any experience spraying paint? I hope so because H.O.K. stuff AIN'T cheap and candy AIN'T easy to paint either. Anyway, I would mix the hammertone in the same ratio that you are using for the candy and good luck.

Re: rustoleum hammered finish.
Yeah a lil i have guns and all the stuff to do it. and your right about HOK its not cheap, but i have seen way more expensive stuff. I bought a Kandy basecoat, which is supposed to be easier to spray, cause its the Kandy and base all in one with all the pearls and metallic in it already so you don't have to lay down silver or pearl before it. ran me about $67 a quart for just the paint, now i just gotta get the catalyst and the special reducer. They say you learn more from your mistakes, So since its expensive paint will i learn double?
