That means its time to sit under a big umbrella by the side of the pool with a tall drink by your side (preferably with a couple of young women attending you) Twisted Evil

I can't believe how much Rolled on has grown over the last few months. When I joined 2 years ago there was only 4 or 5 active members, and sometimes you could go for days without seeing any new posts. Then we went off line for a month and now look. Mike I think you have been on since the beginning right. Too bad Matt isn't still on regularly. I think he would really like the way this has grown and the great people that are on here.

Re: Rolled On Bar and Grill

Post by retired plumber on July 12th 2011, 7:58 pm

I came here in April of 08. I think I was #212 or something like that. I was really bummed when we went off line and about 3 months later, just on a whim, I browsed for it again and WOW.... here it was again. However, like a lot of forums, most people use it for info and when they learn what they want or their interest changes they leave. I know I have done that myself but I'm still like nice looking cars and for me when I unmask a freshly painted car, especially with custom paint, its just like opening a Christmas present. I have been painting for 45 years or so and I have learned a bit I guess, all by school of hard knocks. Actually I am suprised several people here actually agree with this old man Laughing As long as I can help people feel the same way, I'm here.

Yes I agree,I am glad I found this forum,It's full of information, and I like painting vehicle's as a hobby, everyone on this forum are great , alway's full of info, there to support other's that want a presentable paint job without breaking the bank!! I agree with mike ,Istarted painting at 17 by school of hard knock's" learning from my mistake's", and I still learn more with every paint job I do.And as long as I can help answer a question and help somone progress on their project,I'm gonna be here too!!!!

It might get up to 68 degrees here today if we're lucky! We're having the coldest, wetest spring/summer we've had in a long time, but I'm not complaining.

We have been camping since Friday, will be home on Wednesday. Weather has been perfect. Mid 80's so we have been enjoying the water park. We needed some time away. My wife lost her Dad back in Feb and her Mom 3 weeks ago. Two days before her Mom Died her brothers girl friend of 3 years died of cancer so it's been a rough year. I needed to get away from the Falcon for a few days to recharge my batteries. At least we get WIFI here at the camp ground so I won't miss the latest Rolled On news.... grin

Well, I don't think a TV career is in my future haha.

I thought that gold car was cool too. Its fun to see unrestored cars and projects-in-progress at the shows.

Seeing all those beautiful cars really motivates me to improve mine. I'm seriously thinking about repainting it this winter. I really need to fix some rust in the driver's door and I figure while I'm at it...

Re: Rolled On Bar and Grill

Post by snafu on August 5th 2011, 1:38 pm

Oh, I'll roll again. I'd like to try a conventional paint job someday, but I can't spray where I'm at as my neighbor's house is very close to my garage. I kind of enjoy rolling anyway. It's a good excuse to turn off the TV in the evenings. I just turn the radio on and start rolling.

I'm going back and forth on color now. I may switch to off-white, or I may change the interior to black or white and paint the car red or burgundy. I want the next paint job to last awhile so I think I should pick a color I'll be happy with.
