Panels and stuff.. but I'm asking for pinstriping where you can't wet sand
Your wanting to apply pinstrips to your paint, right? If so then a good wash with a car wash soap, no harsh dishwashing detergents because that can and will fade your paints surface and remove resins/oils and again it's just not for paint!

There are 3 things that can remove wax from your surface,1st:you can use clay-2nd:use a paint cleaner and 3rd: a 50/50 mix of isopropyl alcohol (IPA)and water, but make sure you get the highest percent I think it's 94 or something like that because if you get the lower percent when mixed with the water your not getting the right mixture to work properly and it's more of a water mixture.

This IPA mix is also what is used to see if you've removed the swirls from your paint after applying a cleaner to your paint to see if you removed the swirls or if the product just filled in the swirls and covered them which after a couple rains or washes will start removing the fillers and your swirls appear again.

Hope that helps.

it amazes me how many guys join Rolled on, submit 10 or so posts then you never hear from them again? Are most forums like that. Maybe because there isn't a lot of us that it's more noticible. Just ranting

The entire internet is like that. Well, even the off the internet it is like that. How many clubs/gyms/whatever do people join and then ignore after the first month?

Most things are like that. I belong to several forums but only really am involved in this one. Most of the rest were something I was interested in ( you had to join to post or see pictures ) and now my interests have changed or I learned what I wanted to. I still look at a few occasionally but hardly ever post. Forums are like most things tho and JonChris is right. Each organization has a few core people that do most of the work. The bigger they are, the more core people. I'm sure there is a certain percentage of people involved in anything but most of the people are just "there".

the good ones stay as long as the forum stays interesting and active. Some places - like the meguiars forum and even the mopar forum to some extent go many days with no one posting

can't say that about here!!

Re: Rolled On Bar and Grill

Post by stang_krazy on April 19th 2010, 5:16 pm

Mine was pretty good, got done in time with the last detail for the week, then a last minute set of rims to polish showed up saturday.

Went to the in-laws cemetary and help saw a couple trees and clean-up the area.

Started on my little boys F-150 power wheels installing a jvc cd player in the dash where the so called 4-c battery radio more or less took up space.

Getting ready to go clay a F150 and try some M80 speed glaze (cleaner polish)on the silver clear coat paint and hopefully it will do!

Been busy but love every minute of it!!!

How's everyone else's weekend been?
