Sharpie you say. We used to paint them up with black light paint. They could wash it off so it couldn't be seen but walk by a black light and they looked like a nucleur explosion for at least a month.LOL. Of course that was in the 60s.

Well, in Tucson it has been running 103-109 for a couple of weeks now. I have an ir thermoter and in the late afternoon with the sun shining on the garage, yesterday the concrete floor registered 93. However it does buffer the house tho and with a large fan it is tollorable to work in.

I grew up in Tucson, and the heat never bothered me like it does now. Then again, the humidity here in the DC area is near 60%, and was even higher earlier!

Well, I got tired of rain 9 months a year in western Washington so am in Tucson now and loving it but your right about the humidity. What makes heat tollerable here is very low humidity. Anything over 55% and swamp coolers don't work well and stop at 80%. Of course the only time we have that is during monsoon season (of course we have AC)
80 degrees and 80% humidity in Seattle, to me, is like 110 degrees and 7% humidity in Tucson.
The way I look at it is you can live with hurricains, tornados, extreme heat, extreme cold or lots of rain Laughing I lived with the rain for 65 years and now the heat feels good. The other places never even crossed my mind.

can't believe July is almost over..AUGHHHHH.... here in NY that means snow is only 4 month away!!!....This summer seems like it's really flying by, anyone else get that feeling? Mike I know you don't because everyday is summer where you live lol!
Been busy trying to get my garage up and running. We moved into a new home that needed a total interior make over. The last owner trashed the house. So after 7 months of room remodeling I can finally get my garage in order. Paint, drywall, more outlets, the garage has 1 plug, what is up with that, plus it's on the same circuit as tha kitchen and livingroom. The plan is to have the garage done by the fall so I can start taking the Falcon apart for a "rolled" paint job. I'm going to post some pics of the "garage make-over" in a few days.

I like winter.. than means snow, e-brake drift turns and FWD donuts. You would be surprised how many people didn't know you can do a perfect donut with out RWD.

Oh yeah.. and skiing.. hehe

I like winter here in Tucson Az. It cools of enough that you can actually work in your garage. The 1st of August I took my IR thermometer and shot the walls, concrete floor and the wife's car body. At 4:00 pm they all read 96 degrees. That was a bit warm but the saving factor is that 9 months of the year it's nice. The other 3 months, well you spend them in the pool with a tall cool drink with a cute little pink umbrella sticking out of it. beer

ok it's September....temp has been in the 50's, rain for a week straight....Why do I live in New York.
Oh lets talk property taxes, we have a 1800 square foot home, on 1/3 of an acre...propery & school takes $6900 a year....is anyone else out there paying that? Just to clarify, we are no where near NY city, thats 9 hours down state from us. Man you want to talk about a freak show, visit the "city" sometime. People pay 3000 grand a month for an apartment. Anyway just thought I would rant while eating my 2 dollar donut that I got at the gas station while paying $2.89 per gallon for regular gas.....AUGHHHH

mines about $2700/yr on a half acre double lot (2x the taxes). I'm in a town of 3500 and they just reassessed my house at $78,000 for taxes when the appraiser for a 2nd mortgage says its about $65,000 (we paid $61,500)
