Custom paint with Rustoleum? You betcha!

I've actually seen this done a few times at the state fair - it would translate well to a car....

Where that would really do well is on a van. You know like all the custom vans in the 70's and 80's. The planets in the first video are amazing some of the tagging you see on trains is amazing and it's all done with spray cans.

That is pretty cool. I was in New York City about 5 years ago and there was a group of guys on the side walk in Times Square doing paintings like that. It drew a big crowd and the cops kept breaking up the crowd because we were blocking the sidewalk.

I agree though it is pretty cool stuff. Those guys make it look so easy.

I keep saying this all the time. You can do custom stuff with a roller and spray cans. Also get a book on faux painting. Wonderful stuff. I love it. The only thing tho is it has to be buried under clear to protect it.

True that but it's a small price to pay. I sat and watched youtube videos all day on that spray paint stuff. They make it look so easy. If you get on Youtube and search for "spray casso" you'll find a guy that gives lessons on how to do it (if you don't already know how).

actually you don't need clear to protect it.. but you do use clear to keep the paint 'wet' while your doing it

I don't think I'd try buffing it out though. You would need clear then, and that paint it thick enough as it is
