Check Matt's thread on his truck.

Rustoleum doesn't have UV protection so yes it will fade, but it sounds like if you polish it, it comes right back like new. It should be very durable, so I wouldn't worry about chips much at all. Also, check out the thread on the 79 stang.

The last page he used a product called penetrol instead of MS and it rolled on very smoothly. For a cheap paint job, Rustoleum is the way to go. thumbs up Good luck!

Hey toy & mapexgurl

Rustoleum has a paint now that does have UV protection it's rust-oleum topside paint, I seen it at home depot took a pic of it and the chart. They have a deep green and the item#207007 if I could up-load the pic from my phone I would but sorry don't have one of the cables for my phone to up-load on the cumputer.

The sellsman told me that they had to order it though!

Hope that helps.

From Rustoleum's website:
http://www.rustoleum.com/CBGProduct.asp?pid=4

Looks like only quarts.

Colors are:

-Battleship Gray
-Black
-Deep Green
-Navy Blue
-Bright Red
-Sand Beige
-Semi-Gloss White
-White

Looks to be about 1/2 the price of other topside paints (like Brightside.) Roughly $15 a quart.
