Oxalic Acid aka Wood Bleach (Rust removal on chrome, etc..)

Before the Charger, I use to restore vintage bmx bikes. Oxalic Acid is widely used there and thought I would share the info. Below is a link to a thread on the vintage bmx site. "Ted Carl" has lots of before and after pictures of various parts. I plan on using this method for chrome pieces I have for the Charger.

I've read that citric acid works well for rust removal and as a bonus is cheap.

wow.. that sounds funny.. vintage bmx. Kind of like when your cool rebellious led zep suddenly becomes 'classic rock'

haha yeah You'd be surprised what the 'old' SE, GT, Hutch, Skyway, Redlines, Mongeese, etc are worth now. I saw a set of Hutch Aero Speed Cranks sell of $3000 3-4 years ago! omg
