I have been wanting to try the rolled on Rustoleum for a while now. I have been lurking this site for a couple weeks now too. Been watching the Mustang II build as I have one of them. Also waiting on Pete to paint that Fiero.

Well here are my three vehicles.

First my Fiero. I am currently spray painting the wheels and trying to spray paint the bumper nicely.

This is my Blazer. It is the one that I want to try the rolled on paint on. I was thinking of going with safety red.

And this is my Cobra II. It is just sitting in the back of the garage, waiting for its turn.

And just in case there are any three wheeler fans here, this is my last project I just finished last month.

Thanks for looking,
Josh

Thanks guys. I am looking forward to getting the Blazer one color. I need to sell some things to get the funds to do it though.

The main reason why I joined this forum is because I saw you guys respect the MII's. Usually people just talk about how crappy they are.

I am a little to surprise to see that no one showed any interest in the first gen Blazer, it usually brings back memories for a lot of people

Some more old pics. Sorry for the lack of progress.

Those first gen Blazers are great trucks. Not to many left in this part of the world.... Does your's have the lift off roof?

Well, got some extra money coming. Trying to decide if I am going to paint the Blazer or not. I am thinking yes right now, but I have to replace some parts on the Fiero. I got a ball joint that is loose so I will for sure replace all four of them. I would like to get it in the garage and make sure that is all it needs though.

Ball joints are about $100 plus shipping for quality ones. Way cheaper then crappy autozone ones still. I might have to throw a cheap set of shocks on it. The main thing I don't want to get into is the bushing. They are $60, but then I would need an alignment done, and before doing an alignment, I would need to rebuild the steering system. Then the rear end would e lacking.....

So I am thinking ball joints for the Fiero and some nice red paint for the Blazer!

Sounds like you have a plan then. I always say safety first. Its better to drive a crappy looking car for a little while than look at a wrecked car with a pretty paint job for a long time.

I sort of have a plan. If I could find an affordable CUCV that plan would be ruined though...

Welcome. Humm what to do first. You'll never regret taking the plunge. It took me over 4 years to actually put roller to metal. That Blazer would look awsome in red. The Mustang, well those are keepers for sure. the II's are just now starting to become popular. Don't wait as long as I did.

Good luck.

I got the money to do it now. But will have to wait a little while. I might go and buy some primer tomorrow or Sunday so I can start stripping the Blazer down to see what I have to deal with.

After I start getting it stripped, I can weld or fiberglass what is needed.

Should be fun.

Worked 50 hours already this week with one more day to go.

Well, I guess not. My wife would kick me in the you know where if I bring home another project. I've got two more to work on when I finish my Mustang. That Cobra is a good looking car and is worth fixing up.
