89 Ranger

Post by Grenth89Ranger on July 17th 2010, 7:55 pm

Hey there guys just joined a few days ago..

I wanted to just show everyone my truck, its an 89 ranger 145k miles on it and runs great but.. as you can see in the following pictures, it will need much work as its like a purple blue lol ....

it will be a long process as i do not have much money or time to spend it when i do (2 kids and a wife) but will be updating photos when possible . i hope to learn much from this site and so far im never going to want to go to a shop for a paint job with all the options i have seen Smile .. well enough wth the rambling on .. on with the pics!!

this damage is on both sides of the bed ..

Sorry the pics are kind of crappy.. there from my cell phone ... i was thinking of doing either a darker smoke grey or like the anodized bronze rustoleum has..

I'm new myself but welcome! I look forward to seeing your future progress. I read at the end there that you were interested in a dark smoke grey on your truck and it reminded me of this VW Beetle Project that was rolled in a custom dark smoke grey. Perhaps you could use his paint combination on your truck... I bet it would look great.

Welcome to the site!
Looks like a great project, but that damage on the bed is going to be tough!

My dad had a gloss black 88 XLT Longbed. He bought it 2 months before I was born, but sold it 10 years ago when it started to truly rot out.
I fricken loved that truck, I wish he had kept it. Only Ranger I'll ever really love!
