Dupli-color body shop clear coat???
Does anyone know, or has anyone tried to roll a clear coat on with dupli-color's pre mixed body shop paint? I would like to do a clear coat, but Im not sure if Rusto sells clear enamel in quarts....I know dupli-color's body shop paint is lacquer...Would this cause any problems? I'm pretty sure your not supposed to put lacquer over enamel...any suggestions?

I will be trying to do a clear coat when I finally get to rolling. I'm using supermarine paint. They offer several clears. I'm using the Revolution, but they also offer a mono epoxy.

Rusto doesn't put clear in quarts anymore. You can't even order it. DON"T even think about putting lacquer over the enamel because it is hotter than the enamel and WILL cause it to wrinkle and lift and you will be able to peel the enamel off in in large sheets. I know this because I have done it
. I was given some mismarked paint and didn't check it first. They have two totally different smells.
You may have to use the clear from a base coat/clear coat auto paint (which will work) but it ain't cheap. Last quart I bought was like $60+ when the catalist price was added. I would be leaning toward the link above this one for clear.
