Primer Question....

Post by mpick67 on October 4th 2010, 9:57 am

I'm taking my 1967 Impala 4 door hard top to a body shop tomorrow to have some body work done to it. I also plan on having them fix a few rust spot and spray the car with primer. Will rustoleum paint have trouble bonding to auto primer? I want to make sure before I have any work done to it. Thanks, Mike

Problems? I had none whatsoever with my Nissan. Practically the whole trunk was factory primer (Nissan's self-removing red paint Evil or Very Mad ) and I just scuffed it, wiped it down with mineral spirits, and went for it.
