Using acrylic enamel with hardener?

Post by boris_thespider on October 28th 2010, 4:11 pm

I read somewhere that rolling acrylic enamel with hardener will dry too fast to use the "roll and tip" method to get rid of bubbles. Has anyone found this to be true? I also saw a guy on Youtube using a handheld hair dryer to get rid of bubbles. He rolled the paint and followed it immediately with a pass over with the hair dryer. Anyone ever use this technique?

I never got bubbles.. but I sure would have liked a harder paint. I'm impatient.. lol

I'm wondering if a combo of penetrol and hardener wouldn't cure both issues... dunno if anyone has tried it yet
