New Mexico Newbie..

Post by IHSCOTT on February 13th 2011, 4:51 pm

Hows it goin? My names Scottie Bell and i live in Rio Rancho NM. Im gonna roll my 1975 Scout 2. Heres my story. I payed a guy 1500.00 down to paint it while i was away working out of town. Was supposed to be done in a month and a half. I found it 7 months later sitting in a field a couple towns over. The guy no where to be found, and my truck looking like some one cake frosted it in bondo. It was a super straight truck and just needed a little rust repair right over the rear wheels. Very little work. We know that the truck had been hit while he had it, as the right door had a bunch of bondo on it, and the stock mirror was ripped off the door. Im a dad of 4 boys, with another boy on the way and no longer have the money to have it done. I did the body work the best i know how, which is not alot of know how, lol! and about ready to hit it with the roller. I am a little scared about little places, like rain gutters and stuff like that, but will go in whole heartedly and give it what i got. Any advice and/or guidance will be appreciated.

Nice. I think if your budget permits, you should find a similar color.

That's a nice looking ride. I'd be pissed off to no end if my truck was treated the way yours was. Can't wait to see more.
