Desiccant Air Dryer

Post by 78StangII on February 15th 2011, 8:13 pm

Is anyone using this Desiccant filter or know if it is a decent one. I know it's a crap shot when buying from Harbor Freight.

Looks like the same one I got at Princess Auto here in Canada.
Works OK. I find the desiccant needs to be replaced often as it looses effectiveness.
Get replacement desiccant at the same time.
Spread the removed stuff on an old cookie sheet in the oven for an hour at 200.
This will dry it out, store it in an air tight container and repeat next month.

I bought two smaller ones that go on before the air gun. I re-use the pellets and bake them at 325 for 15 min. I hate the HF here. They are supposed to have that filter in stock but they claim they can't get it. A holes.
