Primer on the driver-side fender.

Some body work on the hood.

And I think my paint went bad. Rain, ftl.

I think rain got into my can. The lid doesn't actually fit (fail).

I'm debating, when this is dry, just sanding it all off and go for gloss black. I like flat black, but I really want to go for that gloss black/red two tone.

Wet sanded with 400 grit. Once dry, I'll do 2 more coats of primer and wet sand with 600 grit.

You are not playing around....making fast work of the Blazer. That wetsanding shot looks great. I would agree that something is going on with that black paint. I would sand it back off. Did you spray or roll the black?

@rmdhokie yeah. Second nice day this week, figured I'd make use of it. And I rolled it. Also, the roller pad was new (came with the roller, looks kind of fluffy) so I thought that was doing it. It didn't even roll, just slid around (like when you skid in the mud), but I think the water mixed with the paint and ruined it.

@Scooby haha, no thanks Smile

You need to get the high density foam rollers it will make things a lot easier.

Yeah. The ones I had before were good, but one had to much paint in it and got stiff (forgot to clean it) and the other one was left out in the rain, and got soaked. :/

what did you sand your truck down with before your first coat of primmer, I am using bondo on my truck, so i wanted to feather off the edges and try to see if i could just sand it with 400 or will it not look good, i was also thinking maybe wet sand it with 200 then put two coats of primmer sand with 400 then paint

Finer sandpaper will be a LOT easier! Maybe go down to 60? I'm not sure. It's a lot more work

Progress due to nice weather.

In the morning I painted the bottom's of both sides. I had lost my masking tape, so I couldn't do near any windows

Bodywork updates (Dents)

Started masking the windows, door handles, and lights.

And the primer!

i would be careful if i were you an put a few more coats over the spots of bondo, what i have been reading is if you can see anything in the primmer you will be able to see it in the right light once all the paint is on it, i might be wrong, you have to let me know how that goes, because you will be done with youre truck alot sooner than i will

and by the way are you going to do the two tone now
