Now that sounds like some special fun...LOL can you get a piece of brass behind the hole, sometimes that works good when filling trim holes.

AWFUL! I swear it took four hours or more. I flattened some copper pipe, threaded some copper wire through the copper and it worked. I put the wire in from the back and used the copper to back the holes. I couldn't back about half the holes. Inside the door is a coating like bed liner and I couldn't get the copper flat. For these holes I had to weld by touching the metal inside of the hole and building off that. Fun trying to hit 22g metal with 25 wire. Rolling Eyes

This car came with the "deluxe" trim. There has to be sixty or more trim holes on the car.

Just saw your post about the 302..might as well use that!

I might go with the 302 but I'm leaning towards a larger 6. I found a couple of good deals on other projects so... Motor might be next summer. I wish I had a LOT more money. lol

A bit of an update. The weather has been really hot or freezing. I managed to fill all the holes on the door and found a rusted bondo corner. I stripped it , cut it and made a new one. The new quarter fits awful where the door closes. Working on that and it looks a lot better.

Thanks!. The fenders won't be so easy. What a mess. Sad I'm guessing about 25% or more of the metal is gone.

All one fender. That's the "Deluxe" trim, Falcon script, Falcons, and the mirror holes, mine were mounted on the fender.

Need an opinion. Option A shows the gas cap centered on the quarter. Option B shows it set in more towards the center of the car. Either option will sit flush and be frenched into the car.
A)

B)

Both will look sweet. Are you going to change the location of the neck on your tank?

I'm thinking that I like the first picture, with it centered in the top of the quarter panel.

My first choice was centered. I'm not 100% though.
I'm going to use hose and pipe to run to the old spot. My tank has a small hole that I think was from an impact? I might remove the tank and install a cell.

My skills are limited Neutral I do appreciate the vote of confidence . I went at it pretty hard today. The bottom corner is close to being done and, I made a piece to replace the front. It's curved and I'm trying to shape 18g metal with my thumbs. lol It's looking better than I ever thought it would. I will need some bondo but not anywhere near what was there before. I will take some pics tomorrow.
