When wet sanding you use only light pressure, you sand until you have a uniform flat or satin look to the paint, make sure you keep the surface wet at all times, sand until all the orange peel is gone, and you only use wet /dry sand paper,I would wet sand in between every two coat's, start with 600 grit and work your way up too 2000 grit on the final coat if using a gloss paint before you buff. I've painted many of my own car's and some for my friend's, and I've found out the better the wet sand you do,the better the job look's when you buff. Hope this shed's some light on your question.
