Post by ShadyOne13 on August 21st 2011, 11:13 pm

Well Ive got a little honda civic I really wanna paint flat black at least till I get the body right...well for the life of me I cannot get an even coat. I thinned the paint same as always 50/50ish ratio. Ive tried THICK coats, thin coats ect and I cannot get an even coat. I have roller marks galore. Anyone done a flat black job have any tips for me?

Maybe you are pressing too hard when applying the paint. Have you tried going back over it with a clean roller with out any pressure on it. I mean just letting it roll with only the weight of the roller doing the work? Also you might try searching for roller marks in the search function here. This is a common problem and I'm sure you will get some more answers soon so just hang in there. Good luck.
