What would Brightside Yellow and Sea Green Mixed Look Like?

Post by LV2DRFT on November 25th 2011, 5:06 am

I want a yellow green paint. For example, if you click on yellow and green when you go here:
painting dot about dot com/library/blpaint/blcolormixingpalette1 dot htm

That's the color I'm looking for.

I'm pretty sure Interlux's Brightside paint in Yellow and Sea Green would be pretty darn close. However I don't want to find out after the fact that I was way off :-)

Anybody ever tried mixing these two colors?

Thanks

(PS awesome forum... so glad I found it.. thanks!)

Most likely a blueish green color. It all depends on the ratio of each color you mix in .

If you can get a color sample of each and put them together and spin them like a top you will see what color you will have, You can also move them over each other to get variations. At least it worked for me a few times.
Good luck

Thanks Mike!

I'm noticing that there's not much available with UV protection. If I'm looking for yellow and green, what else might you suggest? And I guess the other question would be, does it matter if I just use standard rustoleum? How long does it actually take for normal rustoleum to fade? Any tips for keeping it from fading? Is there something you can spray over it to keep the UV rays off the paint?

Thanks

Add hardener to your mix. This will help with fading and chaulking.
