The current project at Hadley-Racing

Post by T.Hadley on November 25th 2011, 11:27 pm

1995 Mustang GT race car for NHRA Stock eliminator O/SA
This is a combined project buy Rick Green,Terry Malm and myself

cut 3 holes for the O2 sensors, 2 for the ECM in the primary pipes, and 1 for our dyno jet data logger in the collector.

Also welded V-band clamps on the collectors/

Next up was the trans mount we removed the AOD and installed a C4 so the mount location is about 4.5 " forward of stock.

We had to make our own alternator mount, the tension arm was made from 2 60's arms, and a custom triangle bracket, also had to bush down the alt. pivot from 7/16 to 3/8, and got a 38" multi groove belt.

built a coil mount.

We start the engine in the morning for the first time, I'm going to try and get a small video clip of it.

Our minimum index is 13.30 for O/SA, we are hoping it will run at least 12.60

No not going to paint this one yet, I think the next paint job will be on my 1979 F350 CREW CAB, now that a big project.

The newest stuff.

The drive shaft loop is made to be bolted to the floor, but since I put weld in frame connectors in, I wanted to have it hooked to them.

So I made a couple of tabs to be welded to the frame connectors.

A shot of the adjustable rear links.

Just a small update, loaded up and took her down for a front end alinement. I used the small trailer for going into town.

We just got our dyno appointment 2-20-2012, I can't wait for that...!

another small update, our new trailer, drags its back side and the tongue jack when going in and out the driveway, so we ordered some rollers to help save the sheet metal from damage, so we installed them today, gave them a test and they do the trick no more dragging on the pavement.

Some time soon we will put the car in it for the first time. I will take pics of that also.
