First coat on

Was a bit suspicious about this paint and results people were claiming to have with it

So I decided to not even test a bit as just mix it and go for it

Have to say I'm 100% happy with the result

2nd coat

It's getting there slowly!!

It really shines as well!

Re: 106 gti track slag

Post by Noah Zarq on February 2nd 2012, 5:13 pm

I love them little "Poo gots"! My wife bought one new just before we met. I got stationed in Germany for 8 years. We drove that thing all over Europe, and only sold it because we added 3 to our family and the car seats would not fit.

My wife blew up the motor (they do need antifreeze occasionally) back in 1987, just a couple thousand kilometers after the warranty expired. Then she wrecked it. I fixed myself by planing the head 0.020" and did the bodywork, all total for under $250! She asked me why the thing idled so differently. I never told her about the solid lifter cam, Weber 32/26 carb, or the headers. Rolling Eyes In that configuration, it would hit 122 mph all day on the Autobahn.

Thanks for the memories.
