My 66 Fairlane - first and only rolled paint job

Post by onebad70stang on February 4th 2012, 10:20 pm

I rolled this after a friend of mine told me i could do this quick and easy and in my driveway. The car was horrible and had bondo, rust and big chunks of stuff just falling off the car. 2 days was all it took from start to finish. I didn't cut the paint at all - newbie Smile but the car was transformed for 30 bucks.[img][/img] The Hood
[/img] The Driverside Door....Ewwwwwwwww
[img][/img] Back and side profile - had to sand down to metal. [img][/img] Front half done
[img][/img] Complete .... WAY BETTER THAN BEFORE!!!!!!!!![img]

So this was my first and probably will paint my 70 mustang after learning some pointers from yall.

A guy near where I work has a truck very much like that. '66, 352, 4 speed with granny 1st, same color.

I love those '66-'67 Fairlanes, too. Joe Friday drove one, albeit a 4-door. His had the deluxe wood (or maybe just wood-appearing) steering wheel also found in Mustangs of that year.

I'm wondering how you got those '05-and-up wheels to work...

Nice teaser pics. Where's this Mustang?
